Seems to function correctly but just started a long beep as you shut the door
Nothing when open and still functions once shut
Had the coach a year… do I need to replace the batteries?

The beep is when power is restored. Those are not battery operated. It s wired and there are metal contacts in the door jamb...so when you open the door, it beaks that connection then when closing it reconnects. We hard wire them today in a flexible loom, I think someone else converted there's. Either way, nothing to worry about,
