2021 isata 5 28ss

We have three grandkids and about to order an ISATA 5 28SS and, we wonder if it’s possible to option in 4 seatbelts for the dinette instead of the standard 2? Has anyone done this and, if not, has anyone added seatbelts as a retrofit project?

I think Brian posted a response in general terms, that rear facing seats were not used as passenger seating when considering frontal impact.

There are few threads on seatbelts. If I recall correctly one of the issues is regulatory; the manufacturer must do sufficient testing. They can’t add seatbelts without proper anchoring.

I have read posts where people stated they added seatbelts after purchase but then the liability is on the owner of the RV.

Dealers won’t do it for you because it opens them up to liability.

28 Seat Belts

My 28 has sticker at the that says "Occupancy 5". But only 2 seat belts in the dinette. I have in the past I have installed additional belts. I don't know why or who determines the rules.
