2021 ISATA 5 28ss on back order
We ordered a new 28ss with the light Explorer package back in July, 2020. Estimates are for February delivery from our regional Rep for California.
Anyone else getting better delivery dates? We are hoping to be rolling in Spring next year.

The only way to cut a corner is to find a dealer that has a “stock” order (unsold unit) already in the queue and buy it which changes it to a “retail” order (sold unit).
I bought my 2021 Isata 5 30FW in Dec 2019 and it was ready in Feb 2020 because the dealer already had one in production that they just made a few changes to my color and option requests. Because the 28SS is so popular, not sure there are many stock orders out there that have not already been converted to retail. If you have already ordered and made a deposit with your dealer, you are probably tied to that timeline.
Welcome to the forum, the wait will be worth it. I am on my second Dynamax.

I would like to add to Milkman55's insight that you/we need to accommodate in our expectations: the supply chains have been stretched to breaking point by Covid such that the planned production of most RVs will be held up because of the lack of crucial parts. Compressors for refrigerators, LEDs, tires, switches, fiberglass, adhesives - the list is lengthy. So even the dealer inventory planning will be late. Sometimes it will be a week or so, often longer.

Add to that a huge surge in demand and you can really understand why things are so short

MHS seems to have some 28SS that are not subject to commitments although there delivery may take you beyond Spring of 2021.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm sure the wait will be worth it once it comes in.

Patience!
Don't feel too bad I ordered a Howard 255VTX boat and it won't be ready until march 2022, but it is the one I want so I figure the wait is worth it especially if you plan on keeping it for the long haul.
Better to wait and get what you want then regret an alternate choice for the duration.

Now that I think about it Brian posted info on here of who to contact about checking their orders for a "stock" order so you could contact that specific dealer?
Am I wrong on that??

It was suggested that you contact your Dynamax regional sales manager (Dynamax website has contact info). They can access the build queues and identify the retail vs stock builds in the pipeline and perhaps whether a stock build can be switched to a retail order. I suspect that build orders are so tight now, there may not be much flexibility. Only one way to find out!
