2021 isata 5 awning mounting bracket plastic cover?

Anybody know how this plastic piece attaches to mounting bracket? The forward one on my unit is not attached. Looks like factory tried to use silicone to hold it to wall which obviously failed. The bracket appears to have a flex in it or something so this plastic piece won't lay flat. I'm guessing it has plastic pressure tabs or something and factory broke them and tried to hide it with silicone. Who knows how it attaches? I assume I can order a new piece from manufacturer.... just found it today detailing coach and leaving on vaca in two days so didn't dig in.....

I had the same issue, but on the rear mount. I just pressed it into place and so far after 7,000 miles it’s still there. When the awning is retracted, it’s kind of trapped in there. So far it’s stayed in place but definitely could be attached better.

I had the same issue. Removed the old silicone, cleaned it with alcohol and put new silicone on in all of the contact points. I used a good marine grade silicone adhesive. It has not moved since. It just needed more silicone in the right places.

It's magnetic. If we used silicone it was because it wasn't laying down properly. Those come from Carefree.

I saw the magnets, one was missing from the forward cover which is most likely why there was already a dab of silicone. Didn’t want the covers to go missing. They can still be removed if needed. More of a precautionary fix than anything.
