22 XL Theatre Seats won't recline..vibrate yes

Hooked up to 50 amp. Normally the recliners work really nice! I have the ability to light up the cup holder and make it vibrate but it won't recline?

Not the end of the world, Oct 5th it will be in Elkhart, IA

Make sure all the internal electrical connectors are plugged in. You should be able to pick up the footrest and make sure the wire from the recliner motor has a secure connection.

Wondering if Theater Seats have two fuses?

The footrest if hard to hold up. I was hoping it might be a fuse because other than having the slide out, nothing else has changed.

Known issue described on another thread. Cut 12V power, they should start working again.

I found the three really big disconnect switches in the battery bay. Turned them off. NO joy. Then turned the cab/engine disconnect off. No Joy

The seats still had power. Perhaps the solar is providing enough...and I should try again at night?

I knew there was no way another connector could be on the flake!

Yes, they are powered by 12Volt

I shut down both inverters and flipped off the 50 amp circuit. Waited several minutes and then reset the clocks as I am a pro at that.

Please, how do I shut off the 12 Volts? Mind you, my Lithium batteries were installed in Texas so perhaps that has something to do with this?

On my 21 Force the recliners are plugged into the 120vac recepticle behind the seats, and the cup holder things plugged into the other side of the same 120vac outlet. Maybe the plug for the recliners just came out? You can look down behind the backrest with a flashlight and see. If they are not working plugged into 50A shore power, the inverter shouldn't be in the equation. And if the vibe and other cup holder stuff is working, then the outlet has power.

The OP is saying the recliners are 12v and Brian mentioned cutting the 12v power to reset them.

Another suggestion said they are plugged into a 120v outlet.

I suppose someone should verify whether the recliners are 12v or 120v.
This thread was started in early August and brought back to life today so maybe the issue is fixed and the OP never reported back?

Regardless, you should be able to find a disconnect in the wiring to the recliners near the recliner. I can't imagine them being hardwired.

OH... and please don't put pertinent information in the subject line of a POST.

Those reading/participating on a mobile app DO NOT see individual post subject lines. Only the original subject line.

Well, the answer to that question is "Both" 120V and 12V

We were 120V....those, I do not believe had any freezing issues (though if they do, then it is more likely to be "unplugged" as mentioned, OR the inverter is not enabled).

However, what we have seen more issues on is the 12V version that came later. I have described that cause in detail already.

I do think we have since gone back to 120V to eliminate the 12V related issues. I wish it was a simple as 12V or 120V... Welcome to the Covid years.
