3” to 2” Hitch Solution

I’ve not been a fan of all the parts to get the 3” receiver to the 2” receiver for our Roadmaster tow bar while providing a mount for the E-Bikes.

Worked with Gen-Y and think it’s now solved... takes two pieces out of the connections while providing 1,500 lbs tongue and 10,000 tow capacity.

Nice work. I had the same experience after flat towing a few times. All the parts and pieces to get the reduction and a riser made for a lot of slop. I could feel the jeep more during accel/decel than my trailer. This should help with that a lot.

Gen Y was great... they quoted me two weeks and it delivered in one week!

Thank you for the info, how you you deal with the different hole sizes, the road master has smaller holes doesn’t it?

The 3” shank has a 3/4” pin hole to match the Freightliner receiver.
The 2” receivers on the Gen-Y are all 5/8” pin holes that match our tow bar pin holes.

Trying to rely on memory on the pin sizes above. Regardless, they all match. All works well together.

Does that include the shaft that goes into the receiver, that would be a 5/8 pin hole, my receiver has a 3/4 in pin hole

Don’t convert to 2”, just order a 3” weigh safe from me. All the new dynamaxes come with a weigh safe!

Pm me for details.

That's not really an option for flat towing ... which I gathered was the point of the OP and a lot of the use cases for many.

Ahhhh true. I actually have one if those tow bars that goes right in the 2” opening. It’s the only time I remove my 3” weigh safe hitch!
