Anybody know the brand name of the monitor that comes with the 2020 units and if or where it can be purchased?

We have the quad view camera monitor in our 2020 DX3. This was on the thumb drive with the rest of the books for this unit. Hope it helps:

(Could not get the file jpeg to upload, weak cell area- will try later ).

It is a BRVision model BR-TQM1001. Will try to get it out of GoodReader & post

The only place to buy is from us or River Park. They import that for us specifically. I'm sure there are other brands like it, but if you want that brand, its not available to the consumer as far as I can tell.

This isn't the Quad-View monitor you're talking about, but I just bought this one from Falconeye Electronics: https://www.dashcam.co/products/heav...red-dvr-system

It's a 9" Quad-View monitor that also has a built-in DVR. I simply added a forward-facing camera on my dashboard, and now I have a complete 360 degree recording of everything that goes on around my coach while driving.

I called them, and they sold me the monitor with no cameras for $199.

Just an option for you!

Any idea on the price of the BRVision camera?

I have an email in to the parts dept, but thought someone may have that info.

Just keep in mind folks, this is not a direct swap out for your current system,it will require all new cameras and cables, they are not compatible with the older wires.

Actually, you can use the existing cables. The issue that most likely has people telling us that we cannot is because the terminating end of the cables is at the switch box with square snap-in white plastic connectors and not the round shockproof weatherproof threaded connectors like you would normally see.

That being said, don’t let the connector deceive you. There are still the same four wires there...Red, Black, Green, Yellow.

I’m getting a quad monitor that is all RCA connectors. So I can either buy adaptors from Riverpark or use RCA connectors with screw or solder terminals to go from bare wire to RCA. In my case I’m going to reuse the DC 12v from the switch box for power to the cameras.

Well, other than on the "Quad View" screen...to actually get four views, you need a 2nd camera in the back and another cable. Right now there is only a single cable, for single camera.

So it would be more of a "Tri-View".

Yes sir. Correct. While I’m at it I’m going to run two new cables in the ceiling. (Figure if I’m running one new then both could be new) This will be for the dual lens camera, so I can keep an eye on the towed vehicle and the rear horizon. I’ll only have to “adapt” the side cameras.

Since I have your attention... :-)

Am I going to run into any issues? I did some poking around in the ceiling through the light holes and it looks like I should be able to fish it hole by hole?

lol...that's a trick question. This weekend I added an outlet above my kitchen bar to add lights on top of the cabinet. Found which side of the stud the outlet was on, cut a hole in the drywall to fish up the wire (directly above that). Not only, did they add some blocking in the middle of the stud spacing so they could locate the bar outlet where they wanted (and not on a normal 16 oc stuff), there was a plumbing vent pipe where my hole needed to be. So I had to move the hole over and get creative in fishing the wire up.

So...are you going to run into any issues? You shouldn't. But will you? Likely

Thanks Brian. Roger that! It looked like, and sounds like from you, that there’s none of that “extra blocking” in the ceiling.

I’ll post up on the thread how I make out. Looking forward to having that dual camera this season.

Quad Camera Retrofit Install

Ended up going with the Rear View Safety system which includes:
  • RVS- 813 Dual Lens Camera (RVS-813-01)
  • 9" TFT LCD Digital Quad View Color Monitor (RVS-6139Q)
  • Adapter Cable 4 Pin Male - 5 Pin Female (2) (RVS-AD7-ZD)
  • 9' Camera Extension Cable (2) (RVS-101N)
Got the new cables run through the ceiling yesterday. Started by unscrewing and lowering all the lights, pan shrouds and skylight. Followed the same path as the original cable and went down the right side. Only the part from the very first hole to the second hole gave me issues...go figure! Once I got to the bathroom it was much easier. Then I could use the old cable to pull the two new ones to the front. Didn't go to the overhead bunk. It was easier to make a left turn and go down the systems compartment behind the driver.

Next I'll plug the adaptors into the side camera and run all four cables to the dash using the cab door sills.

Funny....I've done business with RVS in the past and are currently proto-typing a system now.

What I really want to try is non-IR cameras. I feel like there is enough ambient light...that with the IR, at night the image washes out. We're testing that set up shortly.

Good to know I made the right choice. :-)

Agreed on the IR. I wish I could turn it off.

Got the Quad Camera upgrade done today. Everything came together nicely. The kit came with 66' of cable so I had plenty to spare. I used 9' extensions on the side cameras.

The last picture is my help napping. You know, you really can't get good help these days...LOL
