Purchased used and wanting to change out Fuel, Air and Oil filters on my 8K Onan Generator. No manual. Found very little online except on how to do it. Seems pretty simple.
Can anybody help as far as Filter Make and Models needed?
2 tips: be sure the o ring on the old oil filter comes out with it, I didn't and it made one heck of a mess when I started it
there is a plug in the exhaust you'll need a long extension to remove. Remove it before starting to allow any deposits/debris to blow out, the re-install

My Berkshire has a spec sheet(inside the medicine cabinet) listing all the appliance models & serial #s. If yours does, take a picture of it so you can refer to it w/out having to be at the RV.
Here's the part numbers I use. You need to look at your ID plate and see what model generator you have. Mine is -- Model - 8HDKAK - 1046p
Air -- 140-2897
Fuel -- 147-0860
Oil -- 122-0833
Rocky Mountain Generator Supply sells the Onan Q8000 maintenance kit. Oil Filter, Fuel Filter and Oil. I've talked with them, ordered from them and had great service.
It is easier to change the oil etc... on the generators in a Dynamax by removing the front cover. The screws line both sides, then you can see what you are doing, reach inside to do the maintenance. Just FYI.

Watch out buying filters from Amazon, there has been several cases of bogus products that are labeled to look like brand name but are actually copies. Seams were separating and causing major problems. As stated above.
