A couple of pics of "Driftwood" cabinets for 2019 MY
I had a few requests for this on FB, so I figure I would post them here.
This is the new "Driftwood" cabinet color for 2019.
New DX3 is shown.

Nice cabinets. Looks like the kind of handles that will get caught on clothing. Can't give a compliment without some type of criticism. I bet you will start getting requests for them on units already on the line. Really, they are attractive.

Long story behind that. As I always say "if it was easy, everyone would be doing it"

cabinets look great!
side question/suggestion
Is there sufficient room behind the stove top to put slots in countertop for knife storage. I had this on a past RV and really liked them. Haven't looked closely on our 37TS if that is doable.
Again Nice looking cabinets

Possibly. As long as there is no wiring. I've never really pushed for it because I'm not sure I love the idea of my knives dangling into the "great void" of below and in back of the counter. But then again...I'm sure there is lots of less than ideal dust in my knife block too.

Very nice. Eventually this will flow into the Isata 5's?

This is the DW~ very very nice to the eye, great new look! We have those handles and rarely get hung up on them, I may purposely hang a towel on them however.
I keep our knives in a case in a cabinet because in case of a accident they will fly out thru the air all over...that comes from an actual experience.

Cabinets are really nice. Would also be a good thread to post new exterior color options for the Force... LOL

We found a zipper pouch that came with 2 or 3 knives and scissors. Wustof makes them, they are all in their own little pocket inside the pouch, travel much easier and we got rid of the big block of wood.

I thought they turned out nice.
The caramel colors will be available for the 5 series, Force, DX3 and XL. Difference being on the 5 Series and Force they will have one piece drawers and shaker style cabinets. The DX3 and XL will have 5 piece drawers and raised panel. New for 2019 as well, the Force and 5 Series will go to all solid wood cabinetry with this. We have always done solid wood on the doors and drawer fronts, but the styles were vinyl wrapped. So they will now be hardwood like the DX3 and XL.
As for the 3 series and 4 series...that is sort of the plan. Right now the issue is weight. The italian light plywood cabinets we run now are very light. We are looking at a wrapped shaker style that would save some weight even on the light ply, but not the same slab look. We are also going to have a hardwood door weighed to see if we can be the same or less weight in stained wood. If we can get the weights right, then I would like to be two woods, all solid wood, across the board.
And Mountieman...I hope to have a picture of the new paint in the next week. I'll post those in their own thread just for you.

While we're at it, how about some intel on a new model based on the redesigned Cascadia? Wasn't there a comment about that on here a while back, or did I dream that up?

dreams. It takes me 6 months to get a tank redesigned right now. Everyone is swamped. So that one has been back burnered a bit. More "in the hole" than "on deck".

"in the hole" sounds better than "altogether scrapped".

Thank you Brian for posting, the new colour looks good. Our dealer has told us that there is a sample "in transit" for us to review and see if we wish to make the change from the "Early American Cherry" spec'd for our on-order unit.
Question: Is the cabinet/panel material still solid cherry to has another hardwood been substituted to take the stain differently?

I know you have a lot on your plate but as long as the subject is cabinets if you ever decide to try the cabinets/entertainment in place of the overhead bunk on an I-5, I'm your test bed. I'll deliver my coach to the factory so you can have engineering do test fittings.
