AC water leak

DX3 2018 Had a strong wind and lite rain, during eve. Turned on AC in morn and water dripped out. It was very humid and I thought it might be condensation. Any suggestions?

We have had condensation drips from both AC units when it is humid. I try to use the "Dry" setting on the thermostat when it is humid.

The Atwood AC's have a TSB on them for a new grill to prevent this. (Thought I don't think you can prevent 100%)

My Atwood has never leaked even though I have not installed the new grill referenced in the TSB. However on this last trip to the coast we had rain and winds in the 35-40 mph range and we had some rain blow in from the Atwood grill. It was maybe a couple of cups, not a big deal. Otherwise we have never had an issue.

I have the updated grill but have not installed because I don’t like the way they added the trim. That said, I have learned to keep the filter clean and that helps a lot. It gets dirty pretty fast but is easy to clean.

You can get an extra filter at eTrailer. I bought one and change it every 3-5 days depending on dust level. I then wash out dirty filter and let it dry.

If some found a better price, please post it. I thought it was kind of high, but didn’t find it anywhere else online.

We had some heavy rain and wind last trip and had water dripping out of one of the ac vents in the bedroom.. It was coming from inside the vent, just one vent I have never seen that before. Any ideas?

That sounds like condensation. At RV shows, when the doors are open and the AC running, we get dripping at the vents all the time.

I don't think the conditions were right for condensation. Only did it that once after it was raining side ways.. And it was a lot of water.. Prob 1/2 gal or so.. it soaked the bed..

Ours will drip sometimes and I agree with BC if appears to be more of a condensation thing. Either way wipe it up and keep an eye on it.

Love ours

Had the redesigned interior air intake and have not had any dripping or condensation since. This is a great improvement and works perfectly. The system even seems to cool better, but maybe I have an over active imagination.
