Any Strategy to Reduce Macerator Use?

I apologize for the cryptic title. I am looking to find a strategy and did not want to give the impression that I had already solved the problem.

We have a 2016 Dynaquest XL bath and a half. Both bathrooms are equipped with the electric Tecma toilet by Thetford. Each toilet macerates waste as it is directed to the black water holding tank. Water from the sinks and shower goes into the gray water holding tank. The motorhome is further equipped with a Thetford Macerator in the outside water compartment and therein lies the rub. The discharge hose from the macerator is 2" in diameter, about 12 feet long and fragile in construction. Turning on the macerator creates pressure in the hose causing it to expand and scuff along the ground, creating pinpoint holes. Both the black and the gray tanks drain through the macerator. If I only had to drain the black through the macerator, I could go several days.

Has anyone come up with an approach that bypasses the gray water around the macerator? Thanks, Mike

Possible Approach

I've been thinking about installing a manual "T" valve at the outlet from the macerator. The stem of the T would be attached to the outlet, one side of the T would have the current macerator hose, the other side of the T would have a new heavy-duty, flexible line. When draining the black tank, I would select the macerator hose, pull the handle for the black and turn on the macerator (essentially what I am doing now). When draining the gray tank, I would turn the valve to select the new hose and pull the handle on the gray, letting gravity do its thing. Another plus with this setup would be the ability to leave the gray valve open and not have to drain the gray every day. Thoughts on this approach?
