aquahot working on electric only

anyone an AquaHot expert? My unit not run on LP. seems the blower will not run to evacuate the burn chamber and therefore will not start the burner. wouldn't so bad if it wasn't 15 degrees this morning.
I have checked the limit switches and the 10 fuse that is buried in the wiring harness inside the aquahot. still won't start up on propane. tank is 2/3 full.
blower doesn't start.

any ideas out there?

I would call Aquahot tech support in the morning.

there's a small hole in the center of the circuit board that you can put a tooth pick in to reset the DC circuit. I had a similar problem while back and that seemed to solve my problem.

Mine has done that a couple of times. I killed all power to it, shut off coach disconnect and then repowered the coach and it worked fine..

I have the AquaHot 450D with the diesel fuel source instead of propane.

However, I had a similar issue where only my electric mode was working. I found this RV tech on YouTube and he explained exactly how to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair the unit with a diesel feed.

https://youtu.be/nj_BqehNu64

He was exactly correct and all I needed was to change the fuel nozzle (just a few dollars) in the burner. I also change the diesel fuel filter, cleaned the burner and checked and slightly adjusted the electrodes. There is an electrode gauge included on the AquaHot burner to use as a reference. This is part of the annual service you should do anyway.

It was very easy (in my configuration and unit orientation to gain access to the burner for removal). I also have the solid fuel lines. Everything came apart and went back together very easily without any issues.

If you are handy and safe along with solid attention to detail (take pictures before you take it apart), you can check it out and solve it your self. If not, I suggest having a service tech do the work. I have no idea if the propane unit operates the same or has the same fuel nozzle that needs to be changed each year. I recommend checking out the RV tech channel videos to see if he has a propane version. I didn't check.

Good luck. Totally bites not to have hot water when you need it.

Cheers,

Here's that service manual I mentioned if you haven't already come across it. They're pretty thorough with their flowcharts

If the blower isn't starting, which means its not even starting the cycle, may want to check something as simple as the little safety switches that make sure the cover is in place?

From page 75, if the blower fan doesnt run:

1. Locate the JP8 Power Terminal
(also labeled B4 in), on the bottom of the Electronic Controller.
Using a Digital Volt Meter, verify
that 12 VDC + is present on the
JP8 terminal. If 12VDC + is not
present Either the metal jumper
between terminals B4 in and
+12V is not secure, or there is a
fuse blown in the Motor Home.

2. Remove the Aqua-Hot’s Access
cover. The interlock switch will
need to be manually pressed in,
with the access cover removed.

3. Check the Left High Limit Thermostat for continuity. (Wires 32 &
35)

4. Verify the Fan Validation Switch
Does not have continuity while
the blower fan is not running.

5. Check the Motor’s in-line fuse for
continuity. Replace if necessary.

6. Verify the Propane Burner Controller is sending power to the
blower fan

I have a 450D and had the same thing happen on our maiden voyage.

1. Check the safety switch on the shroud. (I removed it)
2. Pull the electric panel off and make sure all connections are connected. I had 2 connections just hanging. They must have vibrated lose.
3. Had the fuel line vibrate loose. Tightened it and it worked fine.
