The thermostat in my Isata 5 is Dometic and I believe the AC units are as well. Not sure if Atwood/Dometic systems are the same, but would appreciate you keeping us updated on the progress.

It can communicate with the Dometic T-stat, but it was probably never wired up that way since we know it does not with the Atwood's. However, the Multiplex solution would just be a "plug i" temp sensor. I have an email into them to see what it would take. I'm guessing, plug in sensor and then a software update.

Ooooh that's promising. Keep me included if that becomes available too. Pretty happy with the xantrex stuff overall, if even it is a little over complicated.

Granted ran into another barrier where their battery shunt/monitor that I want is only for 220v (WTF?) so I'll end up going with a different brand and control panel. I do like the notion of having everything tied back to one panel but seems to not quite fit sometimes.

That module would only go in the multiplex system...is your DX3 one of the early multiplex conversions?

well, yes, no. The one I'm talking about would plug into the Precisions Circuits system to start the gen when it got to a certain temp. I'm not sure what the Xantrex system uses for an interface, other than it does not talk to the AC T-stat. Maybe there is a stand alone sensor.
