Batteries

I had my husband remove the batteries from our dynamic Isata 3 24fw for the winter because it can be very cold here in ME. I didn’t know at the time if we left the coach plugged in we could of left them in the coach. My question is should I disconnect the engine battery before putting the coach batteries back in? I know when he removed them we had some sparks

When disconnecting a battery Always disconnect the Negative First... Then the Positive.... When reconnecting the battery... Do the opposite...Positive Connected First Thenthe Negative... This should eliminate any sparking...

The reason you do it this way is in case there is any metal of the vehicle that your wrench may hit. If there is no metal around, it doesn't matter which one you take off first. It's not going to reduce sparking unless your wrench hits something.

It is possible that those two batteries are connected. To be safe, I'd disconnect the negative on the motorhome battery before reinstalling the house batteries.

The battery will spark because there are loads being connected.

Normal, no big deal, like fume alarms .
