The isolation relay could be easily replaced, but it may not actually be defective. There is a part of your description causing me to suspect that that the isolation relay is always energized (causing batteries to discharge) due to either: 1) a manufacturing mistake, or 2) a defective relay or switch associated with your ignition system keeping the isolation relay energized. I demerit the first idea because that would have been impossible for a dealer to ignore. I think the second idea more likely simply because all was good for while, then something went bad. Additionally, the first idea would be repaired by Isata; the second belongs to Mercedes, and may be more complicated to repair. If you have warranty – use it!
