Bill Davis- Isata water leak
I have a water leak on floor next to bed on pass. Side. Only leaks when driving on wet roads not while parked. Any ideas? Isata 3 rwm 2017 just picked up new 2 days ago. Leaked on first trip.

I had water in the same area; ended up being from the shower drain. The rain may not have been a contributing factor. However, I also had some water in storage compartments; could be that the door to the outside shower area is the culprit; water in that area would not have to travel far to get to that area of the floor. Finally, the exhaust fan right above that area could be the culprit. Good luck; hope the leak can be found and corrected quickly.

Pic of location? might be a compartment that needs sealed? Water is coming in from underneath? Weird location though.

Leaks
Most of my storage compartments leaked from water being thrown up in the rain when RV was new. I painstakingly sealed them all underneath with RTV on all seams. It fixed the storage compartments but still have a leak when it rains by coach door behind passenger seat. Caused the flooring to unstick from the floor. Think its finally sealed along the seam behind passenger door, but too late for the floor.
This and the Lame Atwood water heater that keeps water at 130 degrees or nothing are my main problems. Have pretty much given up on getting a Truma Water heater as there is only one Certified Truma Dealer in a large town like San Diego and there are no dealers that will do warranty work on Dynamax here.

DeMartini further north does work, Conejo has been pretty good to us as well, helping out when we needed.
As for the Atwood, have you had the recall work done? Have you called them on it directly? They can send you to local service centers that might be "just service" not even dealerships. We just tested out the Girard (Gen 3) for a customer that was out of warranty and it worked great. They have an adaptor kit that covers the opening and door left by the Atwood. The Girard fired up just off the kitchen sink flow and we had hot water in less than 20 seconds. Pretty normal for tank or on-demand. From the tank, the water was 72 degrees and we had 120 degrees from the kitchen faucet in 20 seconds. City water, the water came in maybe 15 degrees colder, got to 119 in 20 seconds. The high temp is also adjustable to a certain range.
All in all, my tech was happy with the unit. He loves the Truma, swears by it, but was very happy with the Girard as well.
Side note...its is ALL about flow rate. If you understand that all of them will work...just the Truma and the Girard require less thinking to work. Truma is about 0.5, Girard is rated to 0.8 gpm for burner activation.

Thanks for the info, I will look into it. Hate to whine but this has been a real sore spot in a Motor Home I truly love. I am a retired Aircraft Mechanic/Electrician and I'm not used to being unable to come up with a solution.

I don't take that as whining. It's frustrating when something doesn't work as it should, we just need to get you on the right path to make that right.

no pics came through. When you "Go Advanced" there is a spot down below that says "Attach Files....[Manage Attachments].
You can pick a picture to upload...but then you have to select the box that says "upload"

How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.
