Broken Bathroom mirror

Hi all'
after about 2 months and 6,000 miles our mirror cracked first through the lower right "attachment point" and a few hours later through the upper left. Has anyone else experienced this? the current attachment method is attractive but if the problem is going to repeat, I will use something different that won't be as attractive.

Yep, happened to mine on our third trip out. Replaced it with a rectangular mirror with Home Depot plastic edge mounts. No further issues. The factory mirror looks really nice but would not hold up with the really rough interstates!

Yes, several reports of broken mirrors on the I5's on this forum. We just had our's replaced. I'm thinking we need thicker mirror glass. When I was on active duty I ran a repair shop and had to replace mirrors in barracks and to 'sailor proof' them I went to a much thicker glass. Can't remember the dimensions but closer to 1/4" than what we have. They were far more durable.
