Broken ‘house’ Frame Mounts

Just returned from a trip in the XL, during the trip my wife was telling me of a loud thumping in the floor every time the rear suspension would compress and rebound. Started digging into it tonight and found all four mounts within the rear wheel well snapped off. These appear to be the connection from the house to the chassis. I remember another forum member having the same issue a few years back. Our rig is just over 2 years old with 16K miles. Not sure what the next steps are to repair. Brian, is there a fix for this? Thanks

On the ones I know of, MORryde was reinforcing them at their place in Elkhart at no charge. Regardless of warranty state.

One was done locally, but I don't recall the details.

Brian, I'm coming to Dynamax next Wednesday, maybe I can look at the newer design and figure out a fix?

If you're coming to this area next week, why not make an appointment with MORryde?

So, I have checked a few of these brackets and it looks like they are beginning to crack. Can I call Dynamax for these to be fixed? I really enjoyed my last stay at Camp Dynamax! Looking like very early October, 2024 would work nicely.

Does anyone know if there is a record of this occurring in the 37RB's? I'll be checking mine as soon as it comes out of storage.

Broken House frame

I have found 4 broken mounts on my unit also, is this dangerous? am I and my family an accident waiting to happen? Have any of the units that have this problem been fixed? If so, how have they been fixed?

it is not dangerous. As mentioned previously, they are just tabs to get the main cross members up off the frame rails if they are not perfectly square and/or same level. So it just spaces the cross members off the frame rail by about 1/2". It is all still connected to the floors and walls and other tabs. That area just takes all of the bounce and load from the suspension.

They can weld tubes in place of the tabs, others have been fixed....but I have also asked MORryde about just a rubber spacer to place in there that could be DIY instead.

Thank you Brian,

MORryde has referred me back to Dynamax for this issue. This is what she said:

My sales guy said he talked to Dynamax and they advised to have you reach out and they will take it from there. They are pretty good about responding usually. I don’t know when they have holiday breaks though.

Thank you,

Jennifer Gregory

Is there any drawing that can be posted up here that shows this area more detailed? Also maybe how the rest of the house is supported on the frame, etc.?

It may help explain the safety factor here.

Thanks,
Jim

Wow. That's a heck of job. If you did this yourself, send a pic to MORryde.
Then put a sign in your front yard and we'll all come out for the repair.

Every one of those welds look better than every weld MorRyde made on my rig! Good job!

I am in no way a great MIG hand, but there's points on my rig that they never came back to weld after tacking it together. Some square tubing is welded on just one side.
