Broken maxxfan

Both of my motorized Maxx Fans decided to break within a month of each other. It appears that the gray mechanism is made out of pot metal or something. Both broke apart. Fortunately Etrailer had lots of spares available, imagine that. Anyway $13.56 for each one. You can do everything from the roof. It did help to have a helper inside to turn the black handle a little bit so that the busing lines up. Here is a picture of the Etrailer parts bag with number.

Just curious but, did the operator break while opening or closing?

I'm not sure. My fans become energized when I switch on the coach power. I heard the fan in the bathroom running for a long time, the spring flipping up and down and some loud noises. It did not sound good. Both of the operators broke into several pieces.
