camera
Hi folks. Anybody with a 2020 DX3 with the 4camera system and the 10 inch monitor on the dash? My cam for the trailer hitch twice didn't come on. Any idea where the wiring goes to? At the rear cap underneath by the hitch there are three plugs. Anyone know how to find a schematic for them? Thanks, Chuck

What do you mean "didn't come on"? So when going in reverse it does not change to full view? Or it is just blank?
The ONLY trigger that we use is a reverse trigger and on the early ones, you could turn this OFF. So when you go in reverse, it would stay in the 4 screen view.
Twice as in randomly or twice as in the last two times?

I always run with the camera that shows behind me all the way back but this also as you know has the second camera in the back that shoots down at the hitch that's the one that hasn't come on I don't use any triggers but the key ignition to turn it on and power at the monitor. the first time I noticed it wasn't on when I was going somewhere and then I looked again then it was on and now I'm in the driveway now cleaning it and I turned it on and I only have three out of the four cameras trailer hitch camera being one that's not on again

I'm thinking there's a connection somewhere that's got a little corrosion or water in it maybe that's the problem but I just don't know where it would be at

Could be. You can look up behind the cap and check those connections. I am not sure if the camera runs underneath or in the roof. I'd have to double check that one....but there is not "video switcher" in between, it is all in the monitor so the sables run direct.

If the problem persists, my guys say they have had to run a new cable before.
Before that, you can pull the camera loose. There should be a pigtail where connections are made behind there (stuffed back into the cap). You can check for loose connections.
IF everything checks out, it could be the monitor (River Park might be able to troubleshoot that), if that checks out a new line could be run along the frame rails and fished up into the back or the cap. A little tricky, but we have done it.
