Cameras and siriusXM slowly stopped

On my 2017 DX3 BH, my side cameras stopped responding when turn signals were activated, but the back up camera was still working. When I signaled, I got a "no video detected" message on both left and right. When I turned to XM radio I get a "check antenna" message. After a week, the backup camera stopped with the same no video detected message. Now when I signal left or right, I don't even get the no video detected message anymore but I still get it on the backup camera. I have a warranty, but getting the RV in is a big hassle so I like to try and figure things out myself if I can. I found the connex cvs300-01 unit and everything is well plugged and the XM antenna does not pass through that. Any thoughts before I cry uncle and take it in? One last weird piece of information, yesterday when I checked the rear camera by selecting the camera button on the radio, I got the no video detected message, but when I selected FM radio or anything else the unit would not switch back until I turned the truck on and off. It only happened once. The NAV is still working. Almost like the head unit is dying slowly.

Is this the Xite unit? (Rand McNalley Navigation).

Also, while the Dynamax warranty is two years, that is on the parts that we build. I think the radio is only one year. I'd have to double check that one.

If it is the Xite, which I assume it is, that one had a corrupt NAV card that was causing issues. River Park was sending out new ones directly. I have, unfortunately also heard of them giving up the ghost. You might try River Park and let them know what you are seeing....if not under warranty anymore, we have been using the Kenwood with Garmin RV/Truck NAV for several years now with great success.

Not familiar with your head unit but most have a tiny reset button accessed with a paper clip . Have you tried that?

You are correct, Xite has that as well.

eeek...eager to see how that plays out as well. We always see people looking for recommendations on one that is good...most disclaim everything.

I am rooting for this one to be a good one.

There is not reset button I can find and there are no marking on the front or in the screens to indicate model/manufacturer. It has the Rand Mcnally NAV and is the original system for a 2017. What does this tell you?

No markings means it is an Exite. In the 2017 Online owners manual there is a manual on the Xite.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/cd-content....032fb23311.pdf

It might have only been a software "reset to factory settings" on that one.

I pulled the head unit and it is a XSG2NA INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM. All the connections are tight so I can't believe that all three cameras and XM antenna died at the same time so this must be unit problem. I am reading the manual but so far haven't seen anything on how to force a software reset.

If I were to switch to the Kenwood, do you know if it is plug compatible or would all the connection wiring have to the reworked?

It is not, but if you search for Kenwood on here, there are already several that have made the change and cover all those same questions.

Here is the first one I noticed,

https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ra-209818.html
There are more that cover re-wiring...they just cut and match up wires.

The folks at River Park are helping me debug the problem and I thought I would like the thread up for others. We did a software reset after pulling the NAV card from inside the menus. This didn't help so they are sending a couple of tools for debugging. A short XM antenna and a little monitor to test the camera feeds. I will hook up the antenna to see if my set up is bad and then use the monitor to test the output from connex video controller. They want to rule out that I just had the bad luck of the video controller and the antenna to both fail at the same time. If the cameras are working from the controller, then we have a bad head unit. If the antenna doesn't work, we have a bad head unit. VERY helpful folks. Much like the Dynamax team.

Do yourself a favor, upgrade to the Kenwood Dynamax is now using. Huge improvement. Has the Garmin RV Navigation system in it. DNX775RVS is the model number. It will hurt your wallet, but you will thank yourself later, or maybe immediately! Amazon is your friend on this one.

Yes it does. I upgraded from the Xite late last year and I am glad I did. Pretty easy swap.

The tech support just determined it is a bad unit. They had me loop an RCA cable from the AV out cable back to the camera in cable and it should have shown the screen for the radio the way we had it set, but I still got the "no video detected message" New one on it's way.

I’m no help but I’m wondering if you are having issues with the CVS300-01 switch.
