Charging question

I picked up a 2015 dynamax 320xl last spring. I haven’t had the chance to use it for a few months. I keep it parked near the house and have it plugged into the house with everything turned off. I go out and start it once a month and also run the generator. I notice the last couple of months I had to start the truck and let it run for a while before the generator would crank over. All it would do is click. I’m assuming the generator is connected to the house batteries . Could it be my batteries have reached their age limit and it’s time to go shopping for some new ones ?
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Also any posts that give a good description of the entire charging system would be appreciated.

Keep the battery disconnect on and plug in the MH shore power to keep the battery charged. Or add a trickle charger to the batteries.

This is what I do. Plugged into the house . It’s only 20 amps and that’s why I try to keep everything turned of in the Rv meaning ice box and so on . The disconnect is in the on position . I figured by doing this it would keep things charged

Although your Dynamax is a 2015 (according to you) it is possible the batteries were made in 2014 in advance of being installed in your rig.
It is possible it’s time for new ones if they’ve not been maintained properly. What voltage reading are you getting when the rig is plugged in? (You need a digital meter). What reading are you getting when they’ve been sitting for 72 hours, not plugged in?

See the attached for reference.

I’ll have to run the tests. I learned my lesson about the RV date. I’m going through and checking things out getting ready for some trips. The tires only have 15,000 miles on them but are Dated December 2013. I’m going to replace them with the same tire as they have on them which are Michelin’s . That was about a 4,000 dollar surprise .

I would definitely change the batteries , If they are original , they have been abused many times over and will give you nothing but problems .
