Compartment Door Hinge Issues

The DW noticed on our new 2018 Force HD that the hinges on the compartment doors don't hold them up the day I got home with it. You have to hold them up with one hand and get what you need with the other. This is the case on 4 of 6 doors that are configured this way inside the coach.
Motorhomes2Go is stating they have two other customers with the same issue. Is anyone else on the forum experiencing this? I wonder how widespread it is? The service guy at MH2Go is saying he isn't hearing much from Dynamax on this one and thinks they are trying to figure out how to remedy it. BClemens, is this true or am I getting smoke blown?
I've also noticed that the catches don't hold the doors closed either. They flop open and closed when you hit road the causes back and forth swaying of the motorhome. I can probably fix this with an adjustment of the catches, right?
Thoughts anyone?

sounds like smoke...we refer to compartment doors as exterior compartment doors and all of those are side hinge. I assume you mean over head cabinet doors???

On those we use hold open hinges. Those work or don't work a lot based on temperature. So the weight of the door might be too much when it gets warm. Just need to add a hinge or two and I'm 99% sure those are surface mounted hinges, so easy enough to add.

You could add a strut, but we find those to cause other issues...if its only one side, it tends to make the door crooked over time.

Email parts with your VIN and contact info to see about some extra hold open hinges. The other option are those little struts on either side.

On this topic (slightly related) I keep forgetting to ask...

What can I do about a leaky outdoor TV compartment door? When driving in the rain I've got all kinds of spray over the TV & Radio inside the compartment.

Upon closer inspection I can see the gasket is compressed on the bottom half of the door but on the top half it doesnt even look like its making contact. I cant see an easy way to add gasket material or adjust the hinges. Thoughts?

New gasket I would think. And maybe adjust the nut on the compression latch (door latch) so its not pulling in so tight at the bottom. You really want fairly equal pressure on the whole thing.

This happened on our DX3 and another person on this forum with a DX3. The cabinets that open up above the couch do not stay open. We told the dealer, they installed piston hinges on those cabinets for us, stay up great now. I'm thinking they should come this way from the factory sorry pic is sideways

Thanks Brian. I emailed parts and copied you. If the extra hinges don't do the trip then I'll add the struts.
