David,

Ordered this last night, it looks like you have most all gauges on yours. Will it show the Air tank pressures?

Thanks
Thanks Jim, I'm operating the Bluefire on an older iPad min I has sitting around it will run on an iPhone or any android devise. I just received the dashboard mount and hope to have it mounted this weekend. The Scan Gauge it a great tool just didn't do it for me. You can upload the app and see what it can do for you, I mean this thing will show you the cooling fan speed and your braking pressure if you want to monitor that.

Hi Dennis, I would thing so, I 'm not near my rig but if there's already a gauge for I would think you can add that to the dashboard to monitor. I'll see you in 2 weeks.

Cummins engine monitoring system

Here’s a picture of my Bluefire mounted, I didn’t want it on the dash so I choose to use the driver side since my monitor is only 8” and I just need to glance up to see it and I’m not a tall man where the will interfere with my drives view. I used a the iBolt iPad mount very strong. I’ll see how everything works out when I leave Thursday eve to head to Louisiana [emoji1]

Amazon delivered today along with dash mount for tablet. Can't wait to install and set it up. Like David said, will see how it does on trip to Louisiana next week.

Looks good Dennis, I like the dashboard shelf I’ve been pondering something like that because these dashboard aren’t handy for mounting gadgets.

Well after the trip to Louisiana for the 2020 gathering I wanted to share my Bluefire view when I pulled into my driveway after a 2,302 mile round trip used 242.8 gallons of fuel and getting an average of 9.5 miles per gallon, I was getting 9.8-9.7 until I hit the WV mountain on 77/79. It was also nice to see while driving I have 100% throttle when pedal to the floor and interesting on the turbo boost psi, I’ll need to do some research on this as my max was around 32 psi which is a lot of pressure into a cylinder.

9.5 mpg is impressive. Wish I could get close to that. Typically around 7.8 - 8.0 @ 65 mph.

Installed-

We installed the BlueFire; making a dash with everything available on it. We want to actually take a trip using it and see what we really don’t need.

Tested it in an idling rig this morning (first time) and data did not fill all of the gauges.

Is there anywhere I can go to find what information is available on the Freightliner?

BTW, this really looks very useful; once we learn more about what we are seeing! (Our other rigs had Silverleaf.)

Thanks, Gerry

I put in a question for BlueFire concerning the data the app will handle. Mark (BlueFire) answered promptly. He said:

“The Drive and Repair pages will show you all the data that the App collects. If the data shows ‘NA’ then that data is not being transmitted by the ECMs.

If you’re using J1939, try just J1708 and see what data that might be on that bus that’s not on the J1939 bus.‘

Just an FYI for those who are interested.
