Dinette Height - Isata5 - adjustments ?

Do any Isata 5 owners notice the Dinette height being on the low side ?
It almost touches the top of my thighs when I sit and I'm only 5'7 185 lbs
when you exit your thighs get wedged. Not good

I don't know what the installer was thinking when he mounted this thing But if this is the height he decided on he is either a very thin person or out of his mind
Is there an adjustment ? Or will the whole mount have to be taken off and raised.

Anyone see this as well ?
Regards

In 6'1 and don't have that issue. Still 3 inches from my leg to the bottom of the table.
The table does lower to make into a bed. Did you check your table is all the way up?

Man oh man, where to start.

On our M2 trucks the dinettes used to sit too high. As we dug into this we found out the standard "Dream Dinette" is designed to sit at 29-30" above where your feet would sit (from floor to top of table). The problem is, we had a wire chase along the outside wall that was about 2-3" tall. That means the dinette sat too high by 2-3".

So, we started getting a new "Dream Dinette" that is designed just for this case and sits 29-30" above the floor when installed on top of a wire chase that is 2-3" off the floor.

Well, the 5 series doesn't have a wire chase like the M2 trucks did and they probably just installed it right where the floor meets the wall instead or pretending there was a 2-3" wire chase in the way, raising the whole thing up.

So to make a long story longer...the table needs to move up about 2", it is not adjustable. We are ware of this and caught all of them we found...but some may have gotten out.

Interesting. The table in mine is installed where the floor meets the wall. Haven't had the knee bump problem but it does making sitting down and getting out a little tight. May move it up. Thanks.

Plenty of back there, so shouldn't be an issue.

Just make sure you maintain proper height (not a custom height, or it might not make into a bed properly). It is designed like a normal table to sit 29-30" off the floor to top of table.

Heh I was going to say I have the exact opposite problem! Going down was simpler than up though. Then again I guess re-mounting it is not that big of a deal.

Well, you can schedule a service visit, have the dealer raise the table, it would be considered a warranty item., especially if you have any other things that need to be addressed.

Or if you're handy, It basically cantilevers out from the wall, so its just a matter of pulling the screws that go into the wall on both sides of the vertical bracket. Lifting it up 2" and reinstalling. It all depends on how frustrating the current situation is and how far out dealers are for service.

If you were so inclined to do the work and save the dealer visit, while we don't pay for stuff like that we try and pay it forward in future favors I might be able to get you one of the new flash drives when they come in. (But don't tell FOURWHL, because I know he loves Blue and these things aren't cheap so he'll make up some warranty issue and try to get the same deal, but he's already wrecked his and this is why he can't have nice things)

They are pretty cool. I want one myself. I already know I will have to put them under lock and key.

I ordered them for our dealer expo (wholesale only) in lieu of stuffing a bunch of folders with brochures and flyers. I may use these to ship with the manuals once we run out of the plain logo'd one.

Moved table up 1 1/2 inches. The hardest part was figuring out how to support the end of the table as it was removed from the wall and moved up. Otherwise was easy.

Well, I used two woodworking clamps at the end of the table that where close to the height needed. When I raised the table I put wood blocks underneath to shim up to the new height. Worked well enough.

crap...I'm going to have to have new ones molded now.

I wish Dynamax would stop making changes that make me want new anatomically correct flash drives.

I would pay for the flash drive to use at work, how many other colors did you get?

Just the blue. I'll ask and see what other colors might cost.
