Before you spend any money, make sure the unit does not have a manual air dump. That was something I asked about adding, just not sure when it happened or will happen. Trying to find that out.

Looks like your unit might have been one of the first.

Sweet!!

I was thinking of stopping at your HQ for a factory tour on the way home from Michigan to Pennsylvania next week. Do you have a merchandise store? I'd like to trade-in my Jayco jacket for a Dynamax one.

We don't actually. There is an online ordering site, where you can order some customer stuff with custom logos. https://premier.four51ordercloud.com...River/catalog/

It's more geared to the FR brands, but our logos are on there in some places. I've been looking at stocking a few things here.

Thanks. Would the addition of the air dump be why the leveling system isn't on the dash any longer? Did it get moved to the cabinet behind the driver with the other controls?

One thing I knew going into my purchase of an Isata 5 was that there were going to be bugs and fixes needed. So far I have been able to fix them myself. I have learned a lot about the unit by doing this. I have a friend who purchased a Phaeton and bragged that the fourth year of ownership he didn't have to fix a single thing so these issues are not unique to any brand. The board is great help. For those who are not willing or capable of fixing issues on their own it certainly becomes more difficult. We were at the dealership a total of 5 hours. I noticed three things that had to be corrected. They were corrected by the dealership just enough to get us out the door. Two of the three I have had to redo myself to actually get it functioning correctly. I am more frustrated with the dealership than the factory. They actually did very little to earn the sale. Unfortunately I expected this.

"when I pay 25-30,000 for something I don't expect to have to make repairs on my own like this. Why can't people just pay attention and do,things right. Seems to me FR would be getting on their people and also, their dealers for not catching the little things."

I do agree that a QC process would probably catch many of these things. When issues arise the process could be revised to make sure that issue was addressed. Also I feel the dealership needs better trained people to go through the coach when you pick it up. The dealership I used had no one who knew the electronics.

For those of you who feel you have some great ideas for making the RV world better, I would recommend to start by reading the downward trend series of industry exposure articles written at RV Daily Report.

Then search and read the other RV forums many and long discussions on quality control, PDI, QC systems, etc.

Every RV forum seems to have fortune cookies filled with the same great ideas for mfgs and dealers. They go well with a pint of brew.

Should have been part of the PDI process when the tow vehicle initially arrived at the dealership. I would just make a call to the selling dealership and have them take care of it. We had a similar issue a few years ago with a new rig we had purchased. Our dealer was terrific and made all necessary improvements and also tossed in a few MaxAir vents to make up for their mistake.
