Door lock number pad stopped working
The door lock number pad on our 2018 I5 DS36 stopped working suddenly. I seem to recall seeing a post where it was suggested to look for the fuse. Can someone advise the steps to troubleshoot?

First 2 things to check....
1) there is a fuse holder underneath the coach just inboard from the steps. Check that fuse.
2) Check the contacts in the door jamb. Those contacts are what transfers power from the door jamb to the door (when closed). The tend to get crusty over time and need to be cleaned. Slightly corroded contacts can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and bad contacts might need a light sanding with sandpaper or an emery board (don't tell your wife).

Inevitably its the keyboard and even if the troubleshooting resolves the problem, the keyboard will eventually fail so purchase a replacement.

OK - just a thought, maybe the AA or AAA batteries are dead?
Mine has batteries to make it work along with a fob.
Nothing to do with the RV battery or fuses. Not sure if yours is the same.
There is also a small switch on the inner side of the keypad.

Door keypad
Check all the previously listed items then replace the batteries if no joy. Bauer, one person there in particular, will try to tell you that only Eveready batteries will work in the electronic lock. That’s baloney. I have used Duracell for the almost 6 years I have owned my Force 37BH. The batteries must be at a certain voltage to
kick the bolt. When they fall below that the door lock will not work electronically.
(Yes, there is a hidden key outside the door) That being said, the lock does fail and Bauer has been very good about replacing it. I am on my second lock, like it and just 20 minutes ago when I returned to the MH the lock quit electronically. Low batteries! Change them out now and then, keep the bolt lightly lubed with
a dry spray lube, make sure the lock/bolt is properly aligned with the door jamb and it will work. If you level the MH and twist it a bit in doing so, the lock gets
a bit cranky as the bolt isn’t aligned with the door jamb. Easy fix...level the coach again.

They are electric, no batteries. As noted, check the fuse under the steps, check the door contacts at the bottom of the jamb. I had replaced two of the keypads, some of the earier ones had some issues.
Check the links that BC posted. more info there

electronic door lock, Force BH
All the Bauer electronic door locks require 4 AA batteries. When they are depleted the electronic part of the lock will not function. Picture of HSS series battery cavity attached.

We stopped using the Bauer locks in 2015 or 16.
