Dual Washer/ Dryer Combos?

Curious if anyone has every thought about doing dual washer/ dryer combo units instead of stacked washer/ dryer?

From what I have read, as long as it is the vented version of the combo, the drying should be no different than the stand alone unit? It holds 2 lbs less of clothing for the dryer, same for the washer.

I just figured it would be nice doing 2 loads at once. It would also be nice, because the drying cycle starts automatically after the wash cycle. Being able to not worry about switching items from the washer to the dryer means you can do it while out and about or while driving down the road. Also, if one ever breaks, at least you are still able to do laundry without finding a laundry facility.

Seems like the only "drawbacks" would be slightly higher price and slightly lower capacity for drying?

Im guessing even if this is something that Dynamax wouldn't be able to custom do on a build, it would be easy to just add on your own since the units come prepped for the washer/ dryer? This is assuming the drain line can accommodate both units, that the water lines can provide enough pressure for both (7.5 psi minimum so I assume they will), and that a separate outlet is used for each unit.

We removed our stacking washer and dryer and installed a single all in one vented unit and used the upper space for storage. We have only used it a few times so far but it seems to do a good job.

Don't do it. I had the Splendide vented combo unit in my Voltage toyhauler. 1st, the loads are much smaller. While the washer did a good job, the dryer was terrible. Regardless of setting, it had a tendency to bake the clothes, hence they would come out wrinkled. Had to stop the dryer when clothes were slightly damp and then air dry them. I love my stackable Splendide in my Riverstone. Other than a thermostat failing on the dryer, both units work great. Use them daily. Just my experience.
