DX3 Aqua-Hot malfunction

Spent last week up in Utah to take advantage of 'end of season' riding on the Paiute trail. Overnight temps got to 26*. Normally just use the electric heat, but backed it up with the diesel burner which is very nice. The malfunction is that after the first firing of the diesel it would not re-fire. Not good. The indicator light of the 'burner' switch was off as a clue. Cycling the switch brought the light back on.
We keep the DX3 in Lake Havasu, AZ. Called Aqua-Hot service and they were very responsive, but they needed temperature readings that I didn't have. They have an authorized service center both in Lake Havasu and in Parker, AZ. I called the Parker guy and he drove up to Havasu, about 35 miles and confirmed my observations. Replaced a module that he had in his truck and all is good. This was a no hassle repair! He did charge me a $65 service call which was very fair.
This experience shows that you don't have to take it back to the selling dealer, which was 1300 miles distant.

I do love when things happen as they should.
