DX3 crack in roof

Morning. I need some advice have a 20/20 dx3 with about a 4 ft crack in the upper roof outside. I called my dealer left a message and I called the factory and talked to someone named Jamie sent him pictures and my vin and he sent back a four-page PDF from a company called Cooley and it mentioned dicor material. He didn't say anything else about what steps I should take or what needs to be done or what I should do. After I talk to my immediately put 4 inch flex seal tape across the crack obviously to keep it waterproof anyone else have this problem and how'd they go about getting it repaired. Thanks Chuck

Not speaking from personal experience here but have seen several posts about this and it would appear most people end up going back to the factory to have them replace the roof.

I think I remember something about a bad batch of materials at one point in time but don't recall the specifics

Crack in roof

Just a update. Took moho to Dynamax in Elkhart and picked it back up two weeks ago. Greg, Jamie and his team in the back did a great job on replacing my roof. They went above and beyond. Very happy. Brian, you have a great team.

Was there any mention of what caused the crack?

According to Brian, "....we have not seen this with Crane (material)....". If I am reading comments correctly, the cracked roofs are with those who have the "non-Crane" supplied material. If true, it would be nice if Dynamax could tell us if our coach has Crane material. Maybe they can, maybe they won't.

This roof cracking issue is a big deal. My wish is that Dynamax identify which rigs are at greatest risk of this issue, contact owners, and issue some type of action plan, preventative or otherwise, so that we know what to expect if cracking becomes an issue and who bears some responsibility financially. It seems that Dynamax has stepped up to the plate for some owners out of warranty but a case-by-case decision does not bring comfort the to problem.

Dynamax needs to make an official statement. At least say something--actionable--so owners can make a decision on what to do before one problem turns into two or three.

can't really point to a bad batch, or I would assume we would see all of the batch crack. That is not the case.

Brian--is there a way to determine if the roofing material installed on my 2022 Europa is made by Crane or another supplier by looking at the finish? I've attached a picture from the Crane website that looks like my material (FILON Flexroof Embossed Finish: RVPRJ).
