DX3 Passenger seat

We wanted to turn the cab seats around for some guests. The drivers seat turned around OK. But the passenger seat would pull toward center, but would not turn around. Does anybody have any tricks or things to look for to make this seat turn around?

Both seats should operate the same way, depending on the type of seat in the coach... we had used a couple different seat bases. The newer ones should have little yellow handles on the side that you pull to then push the seat towards the center of the cab. then when it reaches the end of the slide, it then can spin around.

Sometimes they can be a bit tight and may need some elbow grease and WD40 but will spin around. It helps to have the air bags in the seats inflated to the seat belt bracket doesn't scrape and catch on the floor of the cab.

I loosened the screws which the seatbelt buckles pivot on and then snugged them up so I could just barely turn the buckle at the pivot point. Now the buckles can be laid down, out of the way, when pivoting the seat, instead of hanging up and making if difficult. The screws are still snug enough to hold the buckles in the correct position when it's time to buckle up.

When I pivot the seat here's what do:
-Move seat back to upright position
-Move seat all the way back on the rails
-Swing buckles down to floor, out of the way
-Pull yellow levers
-Swing over and pivot

Sometimes a firm touch is needed to persuade thisgs into place.

Here is what I do:

1. Move seat forward enough to clear the cowling on the cab.
2. Sit in the drivers seat and pull the yellow handle towards you.
3. With your other hand pull seat towards the center and to the left rear angle.
4. Seat will spin around.
5. WD 40 will help or some graphite.

To put back:

1. Spin around facing forward.
2. Push seat towards the door and lock with yellow handle.

The secret for me is pulling towards and center and to the left angel.

I made a video of how to do it. PM me your email and I will send you the video

Now you're making us look bad... But in all honesty we're working on getting some of these quick, little tutorial videos together.

When you are retired, you have a lot of time on your hands, "maybe I should come out there and work for Dynamax"

Tried all suggestions. Nothing worked. Seat slides to center OK. But the rotation on the Passenger seat hits a hard mechanical stop somewhere. Looked under seat but nothing obvious. Frustrating.

When you slide the seat keep the yellow handle pulled out.

Slide the seat to center and to the left back corner at the same time while keeping the yellow handle pulled out.
PM me your email, I will send you a video

We had, and still sometimes have the same problem. Read all suggestions and keep turning them, it gets easier. Slide to the left, then angle to left corner works. (for passenger seat)

Most common is that something is caught in there. Either the chair skirt or I know for me its always the %$&# seatbelt I forget about.

Just dug these up from when we originally helped proto this design on the E450.

Could you send the video, ours is actually stuck in the swivel, ours is stuck turned to living and we can pull it forward but it's stuck and won't turn no matter which way we try.
This is so frustrating. A $250,000 new rv and the seats don't even work or if one does it's so difficult. I'm 68 and can't do it myself.

Here’s the video I did of the same seat in my forester in 2015. Sorry for the shaky video. I have really shaky handshttps://youtu.be/Q7QXWCDpeH4

We watched the video but nothing we did helped, we can not turn the drivers seat around to drive. Not sure what to do? The passengers seat isn't a problem we are able to turn it relatively easy so we know how to do it. It is like it is locked and won't unlock. I guess call Dynamax Monday and see if they can send out a new base but then we have to get authorization to have someone come out and install it. Having surgery Jan 18 and were planning on taking it as a base for my husband to stay in. Now don't know what we are going to do.

Try one more thing. Sit in the seat. Grab the lever and twist your whole body in the seat. That is what enabled our passenger seat to twist.

We tried that and if I twist anymore I'm afraid I'll break the chair?
