DX3 power cord reel

My cord reel on my 37TS came crashing down last night. Before I attempt to repair, I’m wondering if anyone else has had this come up. Thinking about longer lag bolts. Thanks for the help,
Steve

Pictures of install

Thank you,
This is where it is installed. It’s just temporarily hanging in the original holes. It appears to be the second time that it has fallen down based on previous sets of holes.

My auto level box fell down a few times.
I'm going to try these, for the next repair. Click image for larger version

Your real would be quite heavy.
Not sure if you could find anchors large enough though.

My SECOND cord reel failed last year. They sure seem to be Cheap Chinese Junk (but VERY expensive CCJ). At least both of the units I've had haven't fall down though.

Mont it to the floor where it should be. 3rd time is the charm. you could put in longer screws and trip over then inside. It is very heavy. It belongs on the floor

I disagree, the floor is thin plastic, without support it will not handle the weight of the reel or the vibration when it is working, plus the access door for the cord is below the reel on the floor.
