DX3 trailer tongue height

First time towing the enclosed with the DX3. 32 foot trailer with only the atvs for this trip. 1500 lbs. tongue weight but I had to move the ball up 2" on the adjustable hitch. This makes the trailer tongue pointing up. If I put it level the trailer jack is only 6" off the ground which makes it lower than my skid wheels. Is this close to your setup, let me know????Click image for larger version

I have an almost identical setup, but have never noticed the issue you're describing. Using the Dynamax supplied draw bar, my trailer sits almost perfectly level, and I have not raised the hitch up like several on here have done. Seems like the center of the hitch is around 16" off the ground, but I could be wrong about that...it's been a while since I measured it.

I highly recommend re-drilling the holes and raising the hitch as high as possible BEFORE you scrape and have an embarrassing stuck molment blocking a main road in the middle of Utah (don’t ask).

Yep, I killed a jack on my 25' utility trailer because it was too low. I ended up ordering a replacement from E-trailer and cutting off the factory brackets to raise it up a few inches. After a bit of time with the welder and grinder the jack sits 3 or 4 inches higher. It worked well and since its a drop jack, where the foot slides down and gets pinned in place, there's no extra work from the jack sitting higher.

The trailer also has an aluminum battery box that sits below the rails that took a pretty good hit when on unimproved roads. I switched from 15" to 16" wheels with a bit higher profile tire that gave me another inch of clearance. I don't like where the battery is so it's on my list to change. I might put it back between the axles to eliminate the chance of dragging altogether.

I take my jack off for towing and just put it back on when I need to drop the trailer. Its only 3 bolts.
