DX3 w/ Explorer Package?

I'm sure normally it isn't good to just post a random rig for sale especially one I have no connection to but I would really like to know the story behind this. I see its got the insulated wet bay so this is not just a paint scheme.

Go to the Dynamax website. Click on the DX3 then go to the Options and look at the “Adventure Package”.

Insulated Curtain

I had to order the insulated curtain from Brad, had to have it for our XL. Not only will it help in colder months, but I'm sure it will help a lot in the heat of summer keeping that warm air up in the cab! Of course my wife things a $20 sleeping bag draped over would have had the same result....

I think like $600 with taxes/shipping. But hey, I didn't get a CB in mine.

Absolutely nothing......the CB was discontinued, I was heartbroken, splurged on the cab curtain. I was apparently in a dark place.....

oh ok. The CB was made public a while ago, over the years since we have owned Dynamax, the CB has always been an issue. The way Freightliner installed them caused problems, all of us that had a factory one (Freightliner) had to replace the wiring and antenna. So why not just put one in on your own in the first place, which I agree with. Already have one sitting on the bench for the new XL.

$600 seems excessive for a cab curtain. I’ll need to check with parts on how that is calculated.

Maybe there was a supply issue with the Velcro tabs? 🤷🏼*♂️

I checked the numbers and that was correct.

It's sort of a "catch 22" for us. Technically, we're not supposed to sell parts direct. Customer should be going through dealers. However, due to not all dealers doing a good job of following up, or too many middle men, I decided that Dynamax would sell parts direct "within reason" as a customer experience courtesy. (not to mention, during Covid dealers were so busy, they welcomed not having to deal with parts)

Where the problem lies, is that we can't undercut our dealer pricing, so we have to sell at what dealers would sell at. While you don't save any money, you at least get the convenience of working direct.

We have talked about a customer loyalty program for original owners, maybe this can be part of that conversation. Tricky situation

No certainly you were not...it just seemed high to me, so I wanted to check the math....which checked out. Now I will have discussions on the policy.

The flip side as well...as a small OEM, we pay more for a lot of our stuff because it is built in small batches...like Bourbon

I’m interested in one too but agree with you Brian, 600 seems pretty steep.

Dynamax is awesome as Brian, but my Upolstry guy (friend) saw this and said any Upolstry shop could make one for you for under $300.

I usually have custom work done when it comes to Upolstry, it’s always a lot less than buying a pre made thing and then it’s custom to your specs.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a DX3, 37TS. If you order the front cap without the bunk, do you still get the curtain? We like the looks of the non bunk version.
