Dynamax REV a/c

I tried my a/c with the generator on in my REV and it would only go as far as the fan engaging but would not start cooling when low cool was selected. It was 95 degrees so that may be the reason. It has turned on before when not as hot. Anyone else having issues?

(knock on wood)

We haven't had a problem. Did you let the generator run a few minutes before you started the a/c? Clean the a/c filters?

Probably not the problem, but I had to ask.

I'll try cleaning the filter]s but 95 degrees outside is a challenge for that generator. I also have a 3000 watt inverter charger that draws some power but not much. I may have to consider a Micro Air soft start. That s the back up. Gonna wait for cool weather to run some tests.
Thanks

I live in the same area as OP and have not experienced a cooling issue with my REV. We were in 112 degree heat in Nevada and AC cooled to a comfortable level with shades drawn. We did however, experience a generator shutdown at 7000 feet and above elevations due to less power output.

Ok thanks Richy. Just fyi , I went through the elevation shut down last year. There is no built in altitude kit for that generator so I went to Cummins and bought one. Turns out you have to install it (not easy) and once you go back below 5'000 ft ,you have to remove it. Go figure. Well I took mine back and will travel without it knowing not to use the generator above 5000 ft. Cummins goofed on that.

No problem with mine in upper 90's.
