Just a wild guess but is the ice maker switch turned to off?
My home fridge and my residential fridge in our trailer have switches to turn off the ice maker. In the RV fridge it is a lever that you raise to the up position. Let us know what you find out?

X2. Also make sure your water pump is turned on if not on city water hookup. Also check how low the freezer temp is set to. Sometimes it can make the water line to the ice maker freeze up.
When bought my 2018 DX3 (used), the ice maker wasn't working. Took it to the local RV repair shop and they said it was low on refrigerant. Works great now....
When our refer was going bad we had the same problem. My RV guy replaced the cooling unit when ammonia oder started. He told me the freezer has to be cold enough for the ice maker to make ice. The same ice-maker puts out serious amounts of ice now that we have a new cooling unit.

When you say "Commercial fridge", do you mean a Residential fridge as you would have in a sticks-and-bricks home? Not an absorption fridge?
If you do, here's a well-kept secret. Just about all icemakers from all manufacturers are the same. They come from the same third party. And here is how you can diagnose it. You will need a six-inch piece of 14 AWG solid wire, stripped for 3/4" inch at each end.
