Echomaster: hitch camera takes 30 mins to activate

I know there is an Echomaster thread on going regarding the switching issue. So posting this question not to hijack that thread.

My hitch camera will not activate for 30 minutes after power up. I tried to do the software upgrade that was kicked around this site last year but my monitor does not have an SD slot that is required for this. I did fully disassemble the monitor as called for by the instructions.

Once the camera activates, there are no further problems. Also it will retain its link for a couple of hours after the power is shut off. But once the link is broken, I have to wait another 30 mins for it to return. There are some inelegant work arounds but I wondered if anyone else had this experience and was able to resolve it?

There is a "delay" that can be adjusted in the software. Could that be set up wrong?

All the delays for the 4 channels re set to the same "3" mid point level. I reduced Channel 4 to a "1" to see if that makes any difference and will advise after the channel loses power.
