Electrical gremlins - sign of battery issues?

We've been having a few electrical gremlins, like where the TV elevator works fine, then not; bedroom slide won't come in then all of sudden starts working. I've checked fuses, reseated a few and replaced a couple, but they all check out as working.

Are these things the sign of dying coach batteries? I think yes, but looking for opinions.

All RV,s that I have seen use the metal framework of the rv for the return or ground path. That said the most likely cause of your gremlins may be a high ground type connection on the underside of your frame. I would get under the RV and look for a connection to the frame and insure that it is tight and not corroded.

My gremlins have been because of poorly crimped wire terminals. Batteries are easy to check. Fill with distilled water charge then have them load tested at an automotive parts store. Are buy a specific gravity tester and check them.

A few of the bad crimped wires I've found

No need to fill with water, Dynamax has not used flooded batteries in a long time. We started using AGM's over 6 years ago.

In my experience you are on the right path. Especially if your coach batteries are the originals. Had similar experience and hunted around for a few days trying to find my slide problems. Based on the suggestion from a local HWH service facility and installer, the dying batteries were replaced and the symptoms magically disappeared.
