Cool Electrical question

I have a 2019 dynamax force hd. I want to change out the light in the outside storage compartment and replace it with a plug. Is that even possible? I know absolutely nothing about electricity.
Any help would be appreciated!

What kind of plug are you talking about? For what purpose?

If you are talking about a 120 volt AC outlet, then most likely no. Lights in RVs are typically 12 volt DC.

As the first reply said, it is very unlikely. Generally speaking the lights in your compartments are run on a 12 volt system. Assuming you mean a "home" outlet- cannot be installed as it is 120 volts.

There are a few options you could pursue to install an outlet in the location- but not by replacing the light receptacle.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just get it wired specifically for the plug!
