EQ Leveler Issue

Hello all,

New to the forum and new owner of a 2018 Dynamax Isata 4 31DS. Everything on the coach was working great and I took it today to get all new tires. When I got it back home, I wanted to put the levelers down to keep it stable during the heavy winds we’re experiencing here in Oklahoma. I got it all plugged in and powered up like normal. Once everything was up, I went to my EQ panel and noticed all the lights were on as if the jacks were down. I tried to auto level and it gave me the denial beep. I tried to hit retract to see if it was confused and it tripped my system and restarted my Precision Plex panel. The same thing happens every time the system resets. I even unplugged and turned everything off for a little bit to see if it’ll just reset and had no luck. Any ideas?

Check the hydraulic fluid level.

Remove the Precision Plex monitor and unplug it for a minute or so then plug it back in.

Checked fluid and it looked good. Removed and unplugged the Precision Plex monitor for a couple minutes and fired everything back up. Same thing happened. Is there something that could’ve been hit or unplugged when wheels were removed to get new tires? The wires on the EQ system under the coach all seem to be intact.

No idea beyond what you've done. Most likely something simple. My next thought is to disconnect coach and chassis batteries via switches and reboot everything.

I’ll try that next. I went to start the generator from the Precision Plex monitor and it reset everything like the EQ system is doing. That leads me to believe it’s not an EQ issue but a Precision Plex/battery issue.

I think I would go there next. I try and do easy first. I would make sure batteries and connections are all good.

Unplugging the Precision Plex monitor on the wall does not reset the system. You'll have to remove all power from your unit for a couple minutes then reinitialize it.

Will bad batteries cause power issues even when plugged into shore power?

Batteries are definitely bad. Looks like the original AGMs were replaced with flooded

Were the flooded deep cycles?

Yes they were deep cycles. Luckily they fell under the 1 year warranty and I was able to get them replaced for free. New batteries installed and everything is working as it should. Thank you everyone for the help!

Glad it was an easy fix for you. Those winds weee something else here yesterday. Hopefully wasn’t in the fire area.

No fires by me. I’m in SW OK about an hour from the city. I pulled the coach in the driveway after getting back from the tire place and I felt like I could’ve been sea sick as much as I was blowing around when parked!
