F550 SL350 Touring Sedan Info?
Hi all, thanks for the add! I’ve been digging through the forums, unsuccessfully. I am looking at what appears to be a very clean, very low mileage 2006 V10 F550 SL350. Trying to do my due diligence, but cannot find ANYTHING on this rig. Nothing on the internet, no brochures, only one review. Can anyone offer any insight? Any places to do research? Can’t gauge pricing at all.
I think that this was a very limited run, and am curious if anyone knows why. The tail on this is pretty long (thus a bad angle of departure and tail swing - I’ve driven fire apparatus for years), maybe that’s why not so popular?
So confused by the naming convention too; Touring Sedan, Isata 5, etc. Can’t find anything defining this either!
It’s a great looking rig and I think an opportunity to get into this great brand. Thanks for any help, folks!

Many people feel the early model Dynamax rugs were exceptional.
Here is the brochures for that year. Sometimes you find it in the gear prior or year after as there was not a clean cutoff.

Thanks milkman55. I saw this but the F550 is not listed nor in any of the brochures a few years in either direction. There is a Touring Sedan listed in 2004, on an E-Series.
I figured these had some very good build quality. Thanks again.

Do you have a listing or anything you can post on this vehicle? That may help you get info.

Yeah, that's why I'm looking for all I can find on these. Doing the math, I'm guessing its about 12' in length, rear axle to rear bumper (OAL - WB - front overhang). It's at about 57% OAH to WB, so by what I've read that is a decent number. Tail swing is real, but wondering about experiences anyone may have with this. Dynamax is still making a nearly 36' long pickup-based chassis, so hopefully I can learn some info.

The V10 should do just fine. It's been used in gas motorhomes for about 20 years and up to the 2021 models seemed to be the motor of choice in most gassers. That unit is pretty, but the rear overhang/tail swing may be the biggest problem with it. If nothing else go look at it and do a test drive. If you buy it I'm sure that any question or problem you have someone on here can help you with it. Good luck.

someone on this forum may remember a Dynamax dealer in south central PA. I can’t remember their name or location but possibly in the vicinity of Gettysburg or Hershey. If still there they may be able to provide info on this RV.

Dynamx web page under the old brochures section. There's a supplemental owners manual that references the f550 series. Didn't see any of the other brochures there.
Also found this article which has specs.

I was going to purchase a 2013 Isata F series Touring Sedan and have the MSRP quote sheet for the TFC255 through the TFC330 and all its options including the special items. What exactly are you looking for?

I'm not sure the rear over hang is any longer than my 37TS, but the ground clearance looks to be quite a bit less than the rigs built on the Freightliner M2 106 chassis, tires on the M2 are quite a bit taller too.

I'm guessing seven years will be too far out from when these were built to be of help. I'm not sure of what options were available/should I be looking for. I realize these rigs are pretty heavily 'optioned' as it is.

I agree, and that affects the angle of departure pretty significantly. My math puts the overhang around 12'. It has the DynaRide suspension; I don't know enough about that if it can affect ride height or only roll stiffness.

The overhang is the achilles heel of the C Class IMO and the earlier F Sedans were significant at the 310 and above.
