Filters for HDKAK SPEC N GENERATOR

Checking to see if someone can help me with getting the correct oil, fuel and air filters for my Onan 8HDKAK Spec N generator.

Mookieblaylock: Thanks. Those are the filters I ordered and just received. I'm working on it today and just wanted a second "opinion". The manual shows different numbers and I started to panic. I have another question, what oill are you using? I decided to go with 5W-40, synthetic. Temperatures get below zero at times and also above 100 occasionally. Thanks again!

I took my RV to an Onan dealer last year for service and he told me to use Delo 15-40w synthetic for all oil changes. Sounds like you are on the right track, not sure the temp diff on 5 vs 15 on the low end.

Mookie, I wanted to ask you if you did the actual filter changes yourself. I had different filters on my generator than the replacement filters that I ordered. I received the exact parts you listed in your post. The oil filter was larger in diameter. The gasket o ring was larger but it still covered the area okay as it is not leaking. The fuel filter was a little larger and I had a hard time getting the clamp tightened, that goes around the filter. It also did not have a direction arrow on it like the one I took off. So I installed it like I thought it should go. Just was curious what you experienced. As far as the 5W-40 goes, the temperature does get -10 to -20 sometimes and I think it gives me better protection? Thanks!
