Flooring adhesive lifting (2022 DX3)
Thanks for the update
Had a great conversation with Danielle and unit will be picked up end of March to go back to factory to make sure it is done right
There are many red flags from dealer in this process and not worth going it at this point as I will never step foot in there again
Dealer claimed ‘dye’ issues, but regardless the tile has been discontinued and whole floor needs to be redone
I appreciate everyone’s help and response to finally get a path forward. Can’t wait to have it back a few weeks later as we travel for an entire year
Lesson learned I shouldn’t have taken Dealers word in first place
Thanks
Craig

If I ever redo any flooring in my DX it will be the laminate wood flooring. I see zero advantages to the ceramic, only problems. Not sure why Dynamax did it to begin with other than the awe factor.

Just guessing that they did it because a lot of people wanted high end features. Same reason Entegra, Prevost etc…. put in tile. Shiny and fancy.

I think that’s it. I can’t blame them, more like blame the people that all thought ceramic tile in an RV is just soooo cool.
Actually cool is a good word for it as you freeze your feet off when you walk on it in the winter!

I agree! That is why we used laminate wood flooring when we replaced the carpet in our previous TT. I installed PergoMax Hardwood. It is 3/8" thick, 5 plys, T & G, and is 5.25" wide in 4 ft lengths. We love it.

Unfortunate update
I posted this after speaking with Dynamax in Feb. we scheduled a pickup end of March with an expected turn time and return in 2-3 weeks, 4 max. We are at 4 weeks and due to ‘being a little behind, some unscheduled drop ins, and now out of replacement tiles’ we will need to reschedule the repairs as we had a super hard deadline of first week in May as we are departing on a year long trip. I totally understand things come up but how are are we scheduled for 2 months and other got in line first or now out of inventory? There are only two tile choices so are no new rigs being completed? Some of the sting would be softened if we had some communication but it takes me multiple phone calls and multiple emails to have received two responses on last 4 weeks.
Nothing anyone can do at this point, I’m just venting and want others to know what they are in for of similar repairs are needed
I hope to try and reschedule when we will be stationary near corporate in October

I know the tile has been a problem. We buy from Shaw. They ran us out of what we were using, so they gave us a substitute. We asked if they would have enough and they said yes, "we have a big shipment coming in". One week later, they tell us the shipment is being held up in "customs" with no ETA. So they change us to another tile and then ran us out of that. As for what we are doing in production, we are building them without tile in some cases, hoping it arrives and we will install at a later date.
Two weeks ago, we also lost one of our techs for personal reasons. We only have (3), so losing one is a problem. No notice, here today, gone tomorrow. We have posted two openings actually, but so far we have not been able to replace him.
None of this excuses bad communication.

Thanks for the reply and I truly do know stuff comes up
I was in middle of posting another update because I just got off phone with our rep. She was thorough and explained all the nuances that created perfect storm that came together
She walked me through the couple small repairs that were completed and we have a new date to try and do the floor when I am in Ohio in October

Appreciate the update on this one from both of you. I'm looking to schedule my repair for the August timeframe. It may be a little too much to ask but a note from either Danielle or Jamie on availability would be great. There obviously is a list of owners that need flooring work accomplished.

I have messaged them previously letting them know I’d be looking to get it in this summer to which they had responded. I was just looking for the staff to be proactive if able notifying us of delays as a courtesy. It may not be possible, if so that’s cool.

Our goal would be to get back on track, possibly pulling in production help. The other customer had a hard stop date for a trip. If there are additional delays , in the past they have reached out to adjust scheduling.

Ruh Roh.....I'm due to have some flooring repairs and other misc stuff in about two weeks up in Elkhart. Lot of planning to get on up there from San Antonio, trying to time the Indy Mecum auction, tulip festival, and repairs. Hoping the latest shortage doesn't throw a wrench in that. But looking forward to seeing the plant first hand as Gareth shows us around. I've been quiet and patient just waiting for my scheduled appointment......
