Force Furnace control

I’ve got a 2016 Force 37TSHD. We went camping the other day and I had to use the furnace. Can someone tell if the furnace uses the front or rear thermostat? It seemed like regardless of which controller I was using the furnace just wouldn’t shut off. It ran so much we burned through a tank of propane in one day. I’m heading out tomorrow and will need to use it again. It would be awesome not to wake up every hour to turn on or off the furnace.
Thanks

On our 2018 Force 37TS HD the bedroom thermostat controls the propane furnace.

Let me start by saying that my unit may be completely different from yours, but on my 2016 Force 37BH there are two propane furnaces. I have found that if I set the thermostats to auto switch between heating and cooling there is a problem similar to yours. If one thermostat calls for cooling and turns on the air conditioning, but the other thermostat calls for heating and turns on the furnace, they are working against each other in kind of a death spiral. The heat from the furnace causes the other thermostat to constantly run the a/c, while that cooling causes the other thermostat to constantly run the furnace. You may want to check that both of your thermostats are set only on heat and preferably on the same temperature.

Ok, I’ll try just setting the bedroom to heat and see what happens. Thanks fellas.

I'm fairly certain that you only have one propane furnace. There is a furnace button on both thermostats. Mine also has a heat setting for the two heat pumps. I'm not sure which thermostat controls the furnace. I usually turn them both on to furnace and set the same temperature on both.

I just did some testing and it appears that even though the bedroom thermostat has a button that says furnace and lights up when pressed it doesn’t actually control the furnace.

The front thermostat will turn the furnace on. I’ve got it set to 60 which is as low as it goes, heat only on the mode button, auto on the fan speed and it’s been running for quite some time. We’ll see if it shuts off.

That’s is. Controlled from the front but it’s actually much hotter than the thermostat says. Now that I know I’ll just dial it way down at night.

If you have the same round vents as I do, you can also turn the little knob and choke off some of the air. Unless the installer ran a screw through the knob and ruined it.

The reason I thought all models came with only one furnace was information from the brochure. It states all models come with a 40,000 BTU LP furnace system. My brochure is several years old so I guess the newer models do come with two furnaces.

My 2015 regular Force had two furnaces too. I am not sure why the brochure would say that. There is one under the fridge for the front and one under the washer/dryer in the bedroom area. I had thought they all had two furnaces in the big rigs that do not have aqua hot. I guess I am learning something too. lol

I think we had some floor plans with a single furnace, but most have (2) 20k's as they lay out better for some floor plans.

I was just in my 2018 Force 37TS HD, it seems to only have 1 furnace under the fridge, there is a water pump under the washer & dryer, it did not come on until I turned on the front controls
