Freezer Door not Sealing Properly

The lower left corner of my Samsung refrigerator is not closing tight enough for the seal to seat. So it’s leaking air and everything in the freezer is thawing out.

Anyone ever have this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Since by your profile, you have a new rig, the dealer would probably be your best option. It should be under warranty.

You can contact FR for a list of company s they work with close to your home


you can use a mobile repair guy ... just make sure you get the guy to get approval before repairs are done

Haven’t heard back from the dealer, but I found the problem. There’s a bracket on the side that has a small tab that is supposed to sit right under the door hinge. On the right side, the tab is in the right spot. But, on the left side the bracket is not mounted correctly, so the small tab hits the freezer door and keeps it from completely closing. As a temporary fix, I removed the bracket and now the freezer door closes. For those of you with a DynaQuest and a Samsung refrigerator, the bracket is attached to the wood trim on the right and left side of the refrigerator.

Most refrigerators come with their own warranty. You might try contacting Samsung to see if they can provide replacement parts or authorize a mobile tech to repair it.

Funny I had an issue with an air leak in mine too (small crack in rear plastic). It was letting in moisture and the freezer to fridge vent connection was icing up.

You might want to make sure your evaporator isnt icing up.
