Furnace not turning on Isata 5

As it is getting cooler and we are heading to Maine wanted to verify that the heat was working in our 17/Isata 5. Put the AC units in heat pump mode both front and rear worked fine. Tried to get the furnace to turn on but nothing happens when I hit the furnace button. Switch settings on the controller are set to: Heat, Fan Auto, Furnace on. There is no response, no circulating fans running.

Tried with both front and rear controls.

Am I missing something? The LP is on both stove and HW heater work.

The online manual is unavailable. The link for furnace section just sends you to the FR website. (Kim, ACTFEL's wife). Any suggestions appreciated!

Did you receive the Dynamax thumb drive with your Isata? The Suburban furnace manual is on it.

I can try sending or posting it if you can't find the manual.

Here are the Suburban furnace manual and the parts list. I don't know that you have the Suburban but that is what my Dynamax thumb drive has under Isata 5. I hope this upload works.

Thanks for this. We are a bit frustrated at this point, as we asked the dealership to check the furnace while they had it (for weeks upon weeks), but forgot to check it when we got it back. We have camped once.

Mine was in a large brown envelope that contained all the literature and a set of keys. The literature included the heater info. I don't have the Suburban heater.

I have read thst if the heater is not working to check the following:
Gas flow
Pilot light or spark to ignite
Clear any debris around tubes and chimney areas.
There is more you can do if the above doesn't help but I am not knowledgeable enough to tell you without error.

Thanks again for your help. I've spent the morning searching for solutions, and am giving up! Hopefully, Brian Clemmons will be able to help out. We don't even know where the fuse box is in the RV! None of the literature gives us that info, and I can't find it online.

Location varies by floor plan. I think the 36DS is in the bed base, or behind one of the doors on the lower wardrobe cabinets.

I get that one confused with the XL multiplex, which is in the kitchen base on above the micro?

Dont know about yours. Our furnace quit last night we spent a cold night .This morning I found we had run out of propane during the night.our old trailer would run the furnace and blow cold air then shut down. This trailer (15 Blue Ridge)the heater will not turn on when out of propane.check to see if you have propane if your heater wont come on.

Success, bad fuse, mislabeled

Since nothing happened when the thermostat/controller told furnace to come on--- implied switch/electrical/relay problem.

checked fuses F17 and F18 which are labeled Furnace 1 and Furnace 2; they were fine. note that these fuses supply power to the front and bedroom heating cooling/ac controls

From there the manual says there is an on/off switch in on the furnace
pulled cover see pictures. switch is there and was in on position.
cycled switch still did not work.

somewhat at loss, I did not see an easy what to test for power on the furnace control board. So I just ran through the 40ish fuses for the unit looking for one that said "chk" .

Found F09 which is labeled "roof AC" bad fuse swapped out and furnace works as it is supposed to. Not sure if we can reprogram the labels on the fuse panel. In any case worth making a note on your furnace manual if you have it.

thanks for all the helpful suggestions and info.

David

Glad you were able to get your heat going.

I am curious as to how you checked your fuses. I am guessing there is a fuse checking tool but I was not aware of them.

Was it digitally labeled in the software or was it a written label?

Bobby, there is a digital display that you can cycle through to check the fuses. On each fuse, it says ok or check. Brian, as above, digitally labeled.
Thanks again, to the two of you for your assistance.

I was unaware that helpful feature existed, very cool.
