Gravity filling water tank

Isata 3fw....antisiphon valve at water inlet...how do you get water into fresh water tank from a non-pressurized source, I.e. A bucket or water jug?

..... can't... unless you take something apart that you may regret later.

I bought an extra water pump, put a 12v cord on it and a short water hose and siphon hose for blue water containers.

I would like to see other suggestions for this...

Can the anti-siphon valve be removed? There must be some way to replace one if it breaks. Maybe the inlet housing unscrews to get at the valve?

One time while boondocking, a guy that was camped next to me used this.

Originally made for ingesting antifreeze (winterizing) he used it to pump water from a jug into his non-gravity fresh water port. No 12v or 120v needed.

Plastic Winterizing Hand Pump Kit

I use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ONFDEM/ and this: Portable Utility Pump | Canadian Tire

Works for me and everything folds down nice and small.

Personally, this is what I think is the best answer.

I use this little pump that is power by a drill. Works great for putting small amounts of liquids such as chlorine with water when sanitizing the potable water tank.

Wow, did not realize that there is no gravity fill on an Isata 3. There has to be a way to add this instead of pumps & water jugs. How would one add this to a 24RW?

My old 2017 Isata 3 has a fresh water fill above the hitch. I have poured water into the fresh water tank with no problem, other than hoisting the water container up to it. Also use it at campgrounds where the fresh water hose is not threaded.

Simple and works without using extra battery power which can come in handy when boondocking. For those with kids, there's a perfect source of "pump power".

This is exactly why I would want a gravity feed, campground or truck stop fresh water hose that is not threaded. Holding up a jug is an option but tough to do for a sustained period plus it takes several jugs to fills 20+ gallons. Is yours a RW or FW?

Get one of these for a few bucks and keep it handy...

Nice, I have seen some simple pumps before, but never that one. That's a nice simple contraption.

Does not answer my question, how can I add a gravity feed or does the RW already have one? Not into pumps, jugs, bags, adapters.

We took the gravity feed off. To get the slope that you need, you end up running it too high and it interferes with other items. Not enough and you get water sloshing out. Plus, if you carry extra water, it is normally a decent amount. 5 gallon jugs are common. Who is holding that up there to funnel into a gravity fill. Much safer to have a small portable pump and just siphon the water out.

I don't operate that way. On the road, we stop for fuel & water. Quick fill and move on. I don't know what you had for a gravity fill but the one I had on our previous coach had a threaded cap. No sloshing out. Can we add this back to my order. I did not realize that the gravity fill was eliminated.
