Hatch Covers

Cool - someone is selling hatch covers over on Etsy, with one that works for Dynamax wet bay. Either Sanicon or 3".

Beeen looking for this solution for a couple of years. Just ordered two, one for the water hose hatch and one for the 50 amp electrical line hatch. I have been using rubber squares with holes cut out of them until now. Never a perfect fit like these. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah. I kind of like having the water and sewer lines being physically separated too. Those two shouldn't mingle.

We have an XL with Sani-Con Macerator system in the wet bay, so we only break out the dump hose when the black tank is full. Consequently, we don’t need one for the sewer hose since it is never left out.

You can get one custom made for whatever you want. I got mine with 2 matching plugs in case I didn’t want to leave the Sanicon hose out. You can get one with only a water hose hole if you prefer.

I have a nomination for best idea ever or at least for this month! Just got these two port covers today thanks to this thread. Perfect fit and exactly what I have been looking for since I’ve owned this coach. Super nice people to work with and quick shipping.

Am I the only one that puts a ring of Vaseline around all hoses and wires that touch the ground to stop critters (Florida ants!) from crawling in?

I have never heard of that, but will try it next time in Florida.

Absolutely. Florida is where I learned to do it. In the past I’ve had to “bomb” my coach every year or so to get rid of critters. Never got really bad but I hate spiders and ants. If I see one or more per day, it’s bomb time. And I’m a clean person! I don’t even wear shoes in my coach!

Since I did that trick didn’t have any issues anymore.

In other parts of the country they are worried about mice, snakes, scorpions, etc. I think these would help with those type of critters.

The Etsy ad says TPU which is Thermoplastic Polyurethane. A very tough rubbery material.

This does not fit a 2015 dx3 not sure where the cut off is but I wasted my 18 bucks no big deal, prepare to be disappointed if you do not have a very late model dx3 I suggest you do another solution!

I just emailed them through Etsy. I had two custom sizes made, they are super easy to work with. Just measure it up and give them some pictures. I didnt do anything by the stock sizes.

Just FYI

I got a custom plug made by a guy on our dynamax facebook group. He makes them via 3D printer...so custom isn't a problem

Hatch Covers

Custom covers came today, one is square for the 50amp hatch I have, fits perfect. The other is about 3 1/2” round for my 1/2” water line and coax tv cable.

Both came quickly and fit perfect.
