Sure. Thanks in advance for looking at this. The first pic is the solenoid I think is involved. I only say that because I had stopped by dealer in Alvardo Texas and while the service guys were busy, the parts folks thought this may have been the culprit. I replaced it and made no difference. The yellow wire is the one I connected a hot wire to and could here distinct noise when attached and that circuit opened. I did not make any difference in charging house batteries and threw a " check engine light" . It's not connected to anything now. I understand this is a BIRD module issue but have no idea where that is. I am reluctant to make any changes as I know am getting a bit out of my league here but dealers are so far away would appreciate any advice you might have. Also enclosed is picture of fuse box in second compartment back left side.
Thanks Much
Joe
Help Dynamax DX3 house batteries will not charge off chassis alternator
I hope you removed that added wire.
It's odd, that your solenoid would be in the engine compartment.
Did you trace the wires from alternator/chassis batteries?
Thanks for all the replies. I purchased this Rv used with just 10k miles just a few months ago and am persistent when faced with such challenges. I traced all the visible wires to get mental picture of how different systems are related and proceeded to very methodically trace all connections to assure the was no voltage problems . I remembered the previous owner had told me he had the coach batteries replaced and had assumed all connections were properly done. However, I found a positive terminal marked "CH" which I think is short for CHASSIS connected to the house battery????? Switched this wire back to the chassis battery and all voltages are now normal. Hope this is correct . Thanks again for all your responses and suggestions
Joe
