Hitch is Too Low

We have a 2020 XL and tow a 9,000lb. enclosed car trailer. The hitch on the Dynamax is too low for the trailer to tow level (with an appropriate amount of weight on the hitch). Has anyone else had this problem, and what have you done to correct it? We haven't found a solution that's rated for enough weight (Leftseat wants to get a stacker).

The Renegade has an adjustable height hitch, so now Leftseat is looking at getting one of those instead. I would like to find a safe solution that would save us from buying a different motorhome.

this sounds more like someone making a pitch for a new motorhome instead of correcting the problem with a good quality adjustable hitch. they are available in very heavy weight configurations

There are lots of options for adjustable height hitches. Here's one example:

https://www.amazon.com/CURT-45902-Ad...352659&sr=8-11

Prices will range from around $100 - $300, depending on receiver size, weight rating, ball sizes, etc.

Heavy duty adjustable hitch is the solution.
9000 lb trailer is nothing for an XL

I have towed 15000 with my DX3 and use an adjustable hitch that is rated for 25000.

Nice choice, JACA! Turn that baby over and left/rightseat can get all the height they need.

I like this comment, there is really not a problem. There’s all kinds of hitches that can pull that weight.

Thank you for pointing me to the solution! I ordered one and will install it myself as soon as it comes in. I do think that he's a little bummed that he has no excuse to get the Renegade now.....
